Doctorpreneurs Ltd is a UK-based non-profit organisation. We aim to provide interesting news, resources, events and career opportunities for people interested in healthcare technology, innovation and entrepreneurship.
In order to deliver a personalised, secure and consistent service, we collect the following data from people who visit our website:
- IP address – this helps us see which countries and cities are most interested in our content, and improves our security by giving us the ability to block malicious actors (spam bots, ‘denial of service’ attempts etc)
We also place cookies on your browser. A cookie is a small piece of data that ‘remembers’ your last visit and helps to personalise your experience.
If you choose to sign up to our mailing list or our opportunities board, we also ask for the following personal data:
- Email address
This helps us to identify who is using the site and further personalise the service including our newsletters.
We primarily store our data in Mailchimp, who are a US-based mailing list company. This lets us send occasional newsletters and updates for events and opportunities we think will be relevant to you based on your interests. You can unsubscribe from this at any time, and/or request that any data we hold on you be deleted.
We also send data to Google Analytics. This is a website analytics package that lets us see how the different areas of our site are performing.
We may change the data processors and software we rely on if we feel it can improve our service. This will always be done with data security in mind and in particular, in a way that is in line with the EU GDPR regulations.
We do not sell or give away your personal data to 3rd party companies.
We may change the terms of this policy from time to time. You are responsible for regularly reviewing this policy so that you are aware of any changes to it. If you continue to use our website and services after the time we state the changes will take effect, you will have accepted the changes.
By default we store records for 5 years unless you request deletion earlier, in which case we will destroy all data we hold, including backups, as soon as possible. You can contact us on email@example.com to make such a request, or to enquire about the information we hold.
