Avi

Avi graduated from Imperial College School of Medicine in 2011, having earlier completed an intercalated BSc in Management at Imperial College Business School. As a trainee doctor in the NHS, Avi initiated and led multiple initiatives to improve the safety and quality of patient care, including leading an extensive NHS Trust-wide digital health project to improve clinical handover.

In 2014, Avi was appointed as a Clinical Fellow to the NHS National Medical Director, Sir Bruce Keogh. He was seconded from NHS clinical practice to Bupa, an international private health and care organisation, where he worked as a Clinical Consultant across various business units. Following this Avi was appointed as Bupa’s Clinical Lead for Digital Health and in this role, he supported Bupa’s digital transformation and digital health innovation strategy.

In 2016, Avi joined IBM’s newly formed healthcare technology and AI division IBM Watson Health. In his first four years with IBM he helped build and subsequently led IBM Watson Health’s global team of clinical experts and client success managers, and was responsible for driving AI-product development, business development and client implementation/success activities globally. He supported 50+ healthcare clients and partners across 22 countries.
